Privacy Policy

1. Child safety first

ColorPals is built from the ground up for children. We follow privacy best practices designed for children's apps and do not knowingly request, collect, or process any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from children under the age of 13.

2. What information we do NOT collect

To keep things completely safe, our app operates without needing to know who you are. We do not collect:

• Names, physical addresses, or email addresses of children.
• Precise geographic location (GPS data).
• Device identifiers used for targeted advertising.
• Contacts, microphone, or camera data for external tracking.

3. Local storage, learning progress & optional backup

ColorPals includes creative drawing tools, coloring pages, and educational tracing metrics (such as alphabet and math progress).

• By default, drawings, progress, and settings stay on your device.
• If you enable ColorPals Backup in Settings, a private backup of drawings and settings can be stored in your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). We cannot read that backup.
• We do not have access to your child's drawings or learning progress. Deleting the app removes local data from the device; iCloud backups can be deleted from Backup settings.

4. The Parental Gate

To prevent children from accidentally leaving the app or sharing information, we have implemented a strict Parental Gate (a simple math problem or similar adult-verification step). This gate protects:

• Sharing and saving: exporting a drawing to the iOS Photos app or using the iOS Share Sheet.
• Settings & feedback: accessing the app's configuration or contacting support.
• In-app purchases: viewing or purchasing premium subscription packages.

5. Parent support & feedback

We love hearing from parents. If you use the Feedback button hidden behind the Parental Gate, the app will generate a draft using your device's native Apple Mail app.

• If you (the parent) choose to send us an email, we will only see the email address you use to send the message.
• We use this email address solely to respond to your inquiry, support request, or feedback.
• We will never add your email to a marketing list, sell it, or share it with third parties.

6. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

ColorPals offers Premium features via in-app purchases (IAP).

• All transactions are processed entirely by Apple via your Apple ID.
• We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card information, billing address, or exact financial details.
• All purchase screens are locked behind our Parental Gate to prevent unauthorized purchases by children.

7. Third-party services and ads

• No targeted ads. We do not display third-party behavioral or targeted advertising in ColorPals.
• Analytics: with parent consent where required, we may use privacy-conscious analytics (such as Firebase) for crash reports and aggregated product metrics — not to profile children for ads.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised 'Last updated' date. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
